Motivation For Change

CEU’s: 20 Hours

Goal: Building and recognizing readiness and stabilizing change. Considerable research has focused on ways to better motivate substance-using clients to initiate and continue substance abuse treatment.

Objective:

• This is a course with a new look at motivation and its intervention of change and the role of motivation in addiction and treatment.
• It introduces screening and assessment instruments and includes sample forms and questionnaires as well as tests and other treatment tools.
