CEUs Mind/Body Therapy Works Very Good

In the CEUs course, Mind/Body therapy helps the therapist be more aware of the client’s communication and arms them with questions and insight to be of maximum service to the client. The Chakra system is extremely helpful in this process as it houses information that can help lead the therapist and client to some amazing finds, discoveries, and healings.
Caution-This work is non-conventional and out-of-the-box, which can produce positive, healing results quickly and permanently.
I’ve been aware of the Mind/Body connection since 1973, when I got off drugs/alcohol and became a therapist in the addiction recovery field, but had not formally studied and incorporated the connection until 1989.
Beginning in 1989 I opened up to the use of Complementary Medicine, (i.e., Acupuncture for drug/alcohol detoxification, Acupressure, Reiki, Healing Touch, Pranic Healing, Touch for Health, Applied Kinesiology.)
In 1980, I learned about the Silva Method (it used to be called Silva Mind Control) but did not take the concepts into the strict western therapy hospital-based programs I was developing and working in at the time.
In 2001, I became a Licensed Massage Therapist, three months later I became a Reiki Master/Teacher and really got connected with the body as an amazing source of information about the person, the origin of their problems, solutions to these problems, how people’s bodies carry what they don’t express and release if I just paid attention.
I now incorporate the Mind/Body/Soul in my work and understand the absolute connection they have with each other. I am one of the few LCDC’s in Houston that use Auricular Acupuncture (the NIDA Protocol) to successfully detoxify addicts and alcoholics from chemicals and other addictive behaviors like sexual addiction, pathological gambling, compulsive spending, workaholism, activity addictions, eating disorders, and love/relationship addiction.
Auricular Acupuncture is excellent for PTSD issues, chronic pain management, anxiety, depression, smoking cessation, shame reduction, incest, sexual trauma, rape, war, terrorism, and more.
By integrating Applied Kinesiology (Muscle Testing) assessments can be more accurate when diagnosing the problem, formulating the best treatment strategies becomes easily accomplished, testing for results of each session becomes possible, and testing for utilization of lessons learned and practiced between sessions becomes possible as well. It is an excellent tool to get access to the core problem. Because the body doesn’t lie it provides a first-person personal experience.
Lastly, I have learned to ask clients at the beginning and throughout the session to make statements like:
It is safe to heal this, I deserve to heal from this or let it go, I can let this go, I can release it now.
If the client answers “No” to the above statements there are specific energy reversal points that can be tapped into by using Acupressure.
The Chakra System
Now I will be discussing the 7 major Chakra’s (spinning disk). Each chakra is involved with different organs and they house different emotions:
Chakra 7 (Crown)– It is located at the top of the skull. It is the center of spirituality, enlightenment, dynamic thought, and energy. It allows for the inward flow of wisdom and brings the gift of cosmic consciousness. This is also the center of connectedness with the Goddess (God), the place where life animates the physical body. The silver cord that connects the aura bodies extends from the crown. The soul comes into the body through the crown at birth and leaves from the crown at death.  When this chakra is unbalanced there may be a constant sense of frustration, no spark of joy, and destructive feelings. Illnesses may include migraine headaches and depression. When this chakra is balanced you may feel a sense of satisfaction, joy in life, and connection to spirit. The colors associated with this chakra are White and Violet.
Chakra 6 (Third Eye) – It is located above and between the eyebrows. This is the center for psychic ability, higher intuition, the energies of spirit and light. It also assists in the purification of negative tendencies and in the elimination of selfish attitudes. Through the power of the sixth chakra, you can receive guidance, channel, and tune into your Higher Self.
When this chakra is unbalanced you may feel non-assertive, afraid of success, or go the opposite way and be egotistical. Physical symptoms may include headaches, blurred vision, blindness, and eyestrain.
When this chakra is balanced and opens you are your own master with no fear of death, are not attached to material things, and may experience telepathy, astral travel, and past lives. Body parts for the sixth chakra include eyes, face, and brain, lymphatic and endocrine systems. The color associated with this chakra is Indigo.
Chakra 5 (Throat) – It is located in the center base of the neck. This is the center of communication, sound, and expression of creativity via thought, speech, and writing. The possibility of change, transformation, and healing are located here. The throat is where anger is stored and finally let go. When this chakra is out of balance you may want to hold back, feel timid, be quiet, feel weak, or can¹t express your thoughts. Physical illnesses or ailments include hyperthyroid, skin irritations, ear infections, sore throat, inflammations, and back pain. When this chakra is balanced you may feel balanced, centered, musically or artistically inspired, and are a good speaker. Body parts for the fifth chakra are the throat, neck, teeth, ears, and thyroid gland. The color associated with this chakra is Light Blue. Chakra 4 (Heart) – It is located in the center of the chest. This is the center for love, compassion, and spirituality. This center directs one’s ability to love themselves and others, to give and to receive love. This is also the chakra connecting body and mind with spirit.
Almost everyone today has a hard, hurt, or broken heart, and it is no accident that heart disease is the number one killer in America today. Deep heart hurts can result in aura obstructions called heart scars. When these scars are released, they raise a lot of old pain but free the heart for healing and new growth.
When this chakra is out of balance you may feel sorry for yourself, paranoid, indecisive, afraid of letting go, afraid of getting hurt, or unworthy of love. Physical illnesses include heart attack, high blood pressure, insomnia, and difficulty in breathing.
When this chakra is balanced you may feel compassionate, friendly, empathetic, desire to nurture others, and see the good in everyone. Body parts for the fourth chakra include the heart, lungs, circulatory system, shoulders, and upper back. The colors associated with this chakra are Green and Pink.
Chakra 3 (Solar Plexus) – It is located below the sternum and above the navel. This is the center of personal power, the place of ego, of passions, impulses, anger, and strength. It is also the center for astral travel and astral influences, receptivity of spirit guides, and psychic development. When this chakra is out of balance you may lack confidence, be confused, worry about what others think, feel that others are controlling your life, and depressed. Physical problems may include digestive difficulties, liver problems, diabetes, nervous exhaustion, and food allergies.
When balanced you may feel cheerful, outgoing, have self-respect, expressive, enjoy taking on new challenges and have a strong sense of personal power. The body parts for the third chakra include the stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, and small intestine. The color associated with this chakra is Yellow.
Chakra 2 (Sacral) – It is located between the navel and genitals. This is the center for creativity and is an extremely powerful energy. The second chakra needs the power to pull us out of the root which houses the “should’s”, “ought to’s” and “musts”. Our creative energy or our “possibility thinking” can help us generate many things in our lives. It takes us out of our ruts or limited thinking. The other side of the second chakra is “process and chemical addiction” and Co-dependency in that both have the person looking outside of self for answers and is a misuse of power. The body parts for the second chakra include the spleen, urinary tract, and kidneys, ovaries, uterus, and blood sugar. The color associated with this chakra is Orange.
Chakra 1 (Root) – It is located at the base of the spine. This chakra is tribal in that it houses all family of origin, religious, community, organizational, and structural ideas. This chakra states “You can have your own ideas as long as the system benefits most.” Individuality is not tolerated. It is our base beginning and all ideas and concepts are built on this foundation. It is neither good nor bad, it just is. The body parts for the first chakra include the testes, vagina, reproductive system, pelvis, legs, feet, and tailbone. The color associated with this chakra is Red.
So you can see the Mind/Body/Spirit all work together. When one is imbalanced, the other responds to this imbalance. Balance of the system can be achieved by having the client simply focus on each color and breathe into the chakra area prior to the session. If traumatic recall happens the client can be instructed to breathe into the body part most affected by what is recalled.
Massage therapy and talk-therapy or breathwork are an excellent combination for trauma survivors and sex and co-sex addicts in that it helps reconnect the body to the emotions and brings about healing. Body memories can be cleared up and put to rest giving the client the experience of developing boundaries, establishing trust, taking their body parts back, etc.
